From Brown´s Madeira, Canary Islands and Azores, 1932:
Casinos- The Casino Victoria, Rua A. Herculano, just bellow Jone´s Bella Vista Hotel, with dancing hall, gardens, tennis court, provides the concerts and amusements usually found in similar casinos, and it is a favourite meeting place to visitors and residents.
When the gambling was officially allowed in 1927, the Casino da Madeira was settled for a wile in the premises of Casino Victoria.
