Licensed card room first owned by Byrd S. Hooper, and taken over by his widow, Christine (Christie) I. Hooper after his death in 1965. It was owned by her until her murder in 1968. The club's final owner was Joe D. Caprini, who also owned the "J & J Club" in Santa Cruz.

First located at 1009 Pacific Avenue, it moved briefly to 696 Pacific Avenue in 1967, and then to 713 Pacific in 1969. It moved a final time to 719 Pacific Avenue in 1971. Also referred to as the "Joker Card Room" or "Joker Club Card Room".
