ChipGuide - A Catalog of Casino Chips and Collectibles
ITEM VIEW: CG039312
Was: Mission Club
97 South Washington Street
Sonora, California
Type: Card Room
Status: Closed
Open: 1940s, Close: 1980s

Originally owned by E. D. Patton and L. W. Ratto. Originally at 521 Washington Street, it moved to 97 S. Washington Street sometime before 1974. Raided in 1946, with gambling equipment seized (see "Archive").

The attribution of the TH&C horsehead/horseshoe hot stamp chips is traced to the Staeffler Memorial California Card Room Guide (2009). That attribution is in doubt, and these chips were likely used elsewhere. The hot stamp may have been "open", allowing Paulson to sell these chips to multiple customers.
