ChipGuide - A Catalog of Casino Chips and Collectibles
ITEM VIEW: CG040289
2920 Imperial Avenue
San Diego, California
Type: Card Room
Status: Closed
Open: 1955, Close: 1973.

Card room and pool hall (at 2918 Imperial Ave.) owned by Andrew E. Luckey, and later managed by his son Charles A. Luckey. Note spelling.

The attribution of the TH&C chips is from Armin Pfaender's California Chip Guide (2021). Likely a misattribution, as the guide mis-spells the name of the club as "Lucky's Club", and it is unlikely that the Luckey family would use that same mis-spelling on their chips.

Listing (3rd from top) from the 1965 San Diego City Yellow Pages, under "Card Rooms".

Likely a mis-attribution, as the Short Cane Version (SCV) of the Top Hat and Cane (TH&C) mold is not known to have been used before 1974.
