Bar and licensed card room. It was raided at 5 AM in 1959, with arrests made for the dealing of poker after the hours allowed by the license. The owner, Gomez Manuel, and four others were arrested. Gomez owned the bar/card room until the 1970s (see "Archive").

The attribution of the SqinCr-mold chips to Crockett is traced to Armin Pfaender's California Chip Guide (2004). Not in Eastman (1998).

According to The Gaming Table (2017, 5th Ed.), however, the Portland Card Co. (Portland, Oregon) shipped these Square in Circle mold chips in four colors to Jack Salsman and Roy Roney, Arcata, California, in 1959.
