Dinard is a fashionable summer resort in Bretagne, designated Ville d´Art et d´Histoire, that had several casinos, being the first opened in 1866. On July 19, 1902 was the opening of the Grand Casino of Dinard. In 1903 the old Casino de Dinard to distinguiseh from Grand Casino, changed the name to Casino Palais d'Emeraude ,renamed later as Casino High Life. He met the following headings: 1877 to 1905 Casino of Dinard, from 1906 to 1930 Casino High Life (having been closed during World War I working as a hospital). From 1966 through reopened with the name of Palais d'Emeraude, keeping current with the designation Casino Barrière de Dinard, installed in the same building.
