The Chinese characters (Top: Ngan - silver, Bottom: Wun - bowl) were put on after the delivery of the chips from the Mason Co.

Mason & Co. sold 300 of these hub-mold chips in three denominations to John J. "Babe" Bottaro, 517 Eye St., Sacramento, California, on 11/30/1946. As reported in Gene Trimble's "Illegal of the Day" article (11/2010), the "Silver Bowl Club" was in Broderick, California. Previously at that location in the late 1930s was the "Silver Bowl Cabaret", which also likely had gaming.
