These chips are used as prizes in the quarter "pusher machines". They sit atop a bed of quarters, onto which a player drops more quarters through a slot. The pushers, cyclically push the bed of quarters towards a collection trough. Most quarters are collected as casino profit, but a few drop into a payoff tray for the player. Sometimes chips like these will fall into the payoff tray as well. Pusher machines have also been used to float cash and dice (as key chains) for prizes. Winning this chip yields a Mystery prize. This style is no longer used.
