Green also owned the "Fremont Club" in Nipomo and the "Flamingo K Club" in Oceano. He was arrested on bookmaking charges in 1955, 1965, and 1981. After Green's 1981 arrest, he was described in federal documents and media reports as being a major Northern California "bookmaking kingpin" (see "Archive").
