Originally owned by D. Franci who paid a $100 federal tax to operate gambling machines at the club in 1948. It was a licensed card room owned by Eugene (Gene) R. Cokely from the early 1950s through the 1960s.

In the 1970s, the bar and four table licensed card room, which described as a "working man's joint", was owned by Hank Franci. Managed by Charlie (Peanut) Patterson.
