Joa Casinos group. Uriage les Bains is a fraction of the commune of Saint Martin d´Uriage. It´s from 1823 that Madame de Gautheron, owner of the castle, had built on its estate a spa. Between 1863 and1920 the station continues to grow. From 1892 to 1894 will be built the Casino and the theater and the tram station. In 1914, Uriage is a true spa town as the first station. The climax of the station is located in the 1920´s. Uriage is fashionable , but the decline will begin. Crisis on the 30s, the fashion end of the spa. The crisis is exacerbated by WWII. All hotels “ luxury” are closing one after the other. Operating periods after WWII: 1941-1981 : Former Hotel Cercle converted into a casino. 1994-2012: Building the Source, old casino- theater partially rehabilitated. Company Casino d´Uriage was incorporated on November 15, 1993. The Group JOACASINO oversee the establishment.
