Lion sur Mer is a seaside resort developed from the mid-nineteenth century. The Villa Louis, also known as Castel Louis was built in 1866 by Pierre Joseph Pasquet, that turns into casino in 1867. The villa had only one floor, and was expanded in 1900 to two floors. In 1911 out new rules of gambling. The minimum bids were many high for regular customers. The casino closes.
