| A first Kursaal worked on the beach from 1874 to 1905.
The first wooden casino, the “Cercle Artistique et Sportif” ( also called casino) built in 1905, was destroyed by a fire in 1911, and was rebuilt with hard materials in 1922. This first casino was the center of social life at the beach, with dances, theatrical and cinematographic performances, etc and also gambling.
Between 1912 and 1914 it would worked a temporary casino. The second casino, Casino Kursaal de La Panne operated with gambling, until 1939, the date of the start of WWII. The Casino Kursaal reopened in 1946. We don´t know until when the gambing worked on it.
