An illegal club originally located at 128 San Diego Street in the early 1930s. By 1935, it had moved down the street to 207 San Diego. It was reportedly owned by Burton I. Pierce in the early 1930s, and later by Jack McMahon. The club had a Chinese lottery table, roulette, craps, and black jack, along with slot machines. It burned down on 1/3/1939 (see "Archive").
H. E. Mason & Co. shipped 940 of the hub mold chips in five colors/denominations to Chas. [Charles] Sly, Acme Club, Box 153, El Cerrito, California, on 7/23/1935. |
