(Steve Passalacqua) I have Nick Pandelis the owner of the South Shore Casino & South Tahoe Casino on audiotape for 1 hour. Several conversations were not recorded in the beginning of our friendship. He has stories that should be in a full-length movie. Pandelis was good friends with Nick Dandolos the first Nick the Greek that died on Christmas Eve 1966 soon after the opening of the South Shore Casino. Pandelis had Nick Dandolos deal the first Hand of Black Jack to open the Casino. The impression I got was Pandlelis made the ashtray to honor his buddy by saying Nick the Greek liked this casino and gambled here.
