Barrière group.Riva Bella is fraction of Ouistreham commune. The Riva Bella has been a popular swimming and bathing beach since the turn of the 20th century. Ouistreham was also the scene of the D-Day landings by the British on Sword Beach. At Ouistreham Riva- Bella there were several casinos- Kursaal prior to 1914 up to 1928, installed on a building Swiss chalet style, and Nouveau Casino Casino Riva-Bella ,1929 – 1939 ,on a building Normandy style. The gambling stopped in the WWII period. Ended the war the casino was completely destroyed , remained only the foundations. From 1949 to 1954 the casino was opened on a provisional building. The present casino at Ouistreham was opened in 1957. Was renamed Queen Normandy in 1992 and Casino Barrière de Ouistreham in November 2000.
