Often called "Jack Mehegan's" and "Mehegan's Pool and Card Room". A cigar store, bar, billiard parlor, and card room owned by John J. Mehegen, until his death in 1951. Owned by Rose Mehegen until the city revoked its license in 1961. In 1934, Mehegan's was the first business in Modesto to get a city slot machine license (see "Archive").

T. R. King sold 3000 of these large crown chips in five colors to Jack Mehegan, 808 9th Street, Modesto, California, in 1946.
