T. R. King sold more than 7,000 of these small crown chips in at least eight colors to the Paul W. Tyler, 158 South J. Street, Tulare, California, between 1951 and 1954. Paul W. "Red" Tyler was owner of the White Front Cafe, a licensed Tulare card room, from the 1940s to 1954 (see "Archive").

Ownership of the chips was later transferred to the "Round Up Cafe" (c/o Buster Stephenson and later Roy E. Dodge), 207 East Main Street, Visalia, California, who ordered several hundred more chips between 1955 and 1961. The Round Up Cafe was open from 1951 into the 1960s.
