T. R. King sold 600 of these small crown mold chips in three denominations to Jim Addy, Padre Hotel, 18th and H Street, Bakersfield, California, in 1959.

James M. Addy also operated the "Alley Cat Club" (Bakersfield) in the 1950s and early 1960s, and these chips could be related to that establishment. See notations on order card.

The "AL" and "AC" hot stamps were used on chips sent to the Alley Cat Club (Bakersfield), managed by Addy. This connects the "X" chips to the Cat.
