Chesterfield Club - an illegal gambling establishment owned by George Weinbrenner, Dan Sullivan and Lincoln Fitzgerald. It was protected by Detroit's "Purple Gang" for almost 20 years.. CC also used at Nevada Lodge. Was located on Gratiot just south of Ten Mile Road in East Detroit (Now East Pointe). It operated from 1924-1943. The Chesterfield was deliberately set up to simulate the look of a repair garage. Free buses and taxi's would pick up patrons at special locations along Gratiot in Detroit. They would pull inside the establishment, the door would close and the gambling room was upstairs.

As an illegal gaming spot, they manged to stay open from 1924 - 1943, a long time for an illegal club. In 1946, Fitzgerald opened the Nevada Club in Reno, Nevada. The Nevada Club closed in 1998
